It's wonderful to feel desired. There's a sense of power in it, really.

About This Quote

There is a sense of power in being desired. We feel like we are the ones who want the person who is desired because we feel like they need us. It’s wonderful to feel desired because it makes us feel like we are the center of their lives. It makes us think that there is something that could be done about our problems and that someone else cares enough to try.

The downside to this kind of thinking is that we think that if someone doesn’t want us, it must be our fault. If they are not being loving or supportive or caring, it must be because they do not care for us.
